
This is a new legal obligation that affects all employers who hire domestic workers, established in Royal Decree 893/2024.
As of 14 November 2025, it will be mandatory to have an
occupational risk assessment for your domestic workers and to
provide them with a copy of it. The aim of this regulation is to ensure
a safe and healthy working environment.

To comply with this obligation, you have two options:

You can take direct responsibility for preventive management using the
free online tool provided by the National Institute for Occupational Safety
and Health (INSST) on the Prevención10.es platform. This tool will guide

2. Hire an External Prevention Service (SPA)
If you prefer to delegate this responsibility, you can hire an External
Prevention Service (SPA), which will be responsible for carrying out the
risk assessment, managing prevention training for workers and, if
necessary, offering voluntary medical examinations.
