On November 13th, 2025, we held a Gremicat Online Session on Verifactu, the new electronic invoicing system that comes into force on January 1st, 2026 for companies and July 1st, 2026 for self-employed professionals. Here is a summary of what was covered.
You can now watch the full recording of the Gremicat Online Session on Verifactu and the new invoicing system.
Esteban Tomás, partner and managing director of Gremicat, led this session with a clear and practical explanation of what Verifactu is, who it affects and how to prepare for the change. The central message was that Verifactu is not a threat but an opportunity for improvement: greater operational efficiency, legal peace of mind and a real push towards digital transformation.
The session covered the 3P + A methodology (Stop, Think, Plan and Act) as a roadmap for implementing the new system without stress, along with the practical changes it involves: invoices cannot be modified once issued, a QR code is mandatory on all invoices, there is a 4 working-day deadline to submit invoices to the Tax Agency, and certified software options are available. Gremicat’s recommendation is clear: voluntarily adopt Verifactu to minimise the risk of tax inspections.
